Crunchyroll Simulcasts Yumeiro Pâtissière Professional

Sequel to Yumeiro Pâtissière pastry-baking anime to premiere on October 2

The media-distribution website Crunchyroll has announced on Tuesday that it will simulcast the Yumeiro Pâtissière Professional television anime series. The simulcast will begin on October 2 for the pastry-baking anime, which also goes by the full title Yumeiro Pâtissière SP Professional. It will be available in the United States, Canada, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Iceland, and the Middle East.

Unlike the first Yumeiro Pâtissière television series, which adapted the shōjo manga by Natsumi Matsumoto (St. Dragon Girl) about a young teenaged pastry chef trainee named Ichigo Amano (Aoi Yūki), the new series will take place two years later. Ichigo is now in high school and about to reach adulthood, and the cast will add new characters. Studio Pierrot is animating the second series just as it did for the first.

Crunchyroll has been simulcasting the first television series to several countries since last November, one month after it premiered in Japan. There was an original event anime spinoff called "Yumeiro Pâtissière Mune Kyun Tropical Island!" which was shown during Shueisha's "Natsu Doki– Ribon–kko Party 5" event in July and August.
