Heartcatch Precure!, Umizaru, ATASHIn'CHI drop to make way for Harry Potter

Heartcatch Precure! Hana no Miyako de Fashion Show…Desu ka!?, the ninth film from the Pretty Cure/Precure magical girl franchise, dropped from #3 to #4 in its fourth weekend on Kogyo Tsushinsha's box chart. On Box Office Mojo's chart, it dropped from #4 to #5 and added US$807,474 on 163 screens to its total of US$8,924,993.

Umizaru: The Last Message, the third live-action film based on Shuho Sato's manga about the Japanese Coast Guard, dropped from #6 to #8 on Kogyo Tsushinsha's box chart. On Box Office Mojo's chart, it earned the equivalent of US$382,995 on 316 screens in its 10th weekend. It now has a total of US$97,578,995.

The 3D film version of Eiko Kera's ATASHIn'CHI comedy manga slipped from #9 to #10 in its second weekend. According to Box Office Mojo, it dropped from #13 to #14 and earned US$158,763 on 89 screens for a total-to-date of US$503,588.

The Lady Shogun and Her Men, the live-action film adaptation of Fumi Yoshinaga's Ōoku: The Inner Chambers manga, is no longer listed on the box office charts.

The new #1 film was Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part I.
