Hana-Saku Iroha, Priest Promo Videos Streamed

P.A. Works' Hana-Saku Iroha to air this spring; Priest to open on May 13

Lantis, Bandai Visual's music label, has posted the fifth 96-second promotional video for the Hana-Saku Iroha anime on its YouTube channel and on the anime's official website on Sunday. This anime with original character designs by Mel Kishida (So-Ra-No-Wo-To) is the 10th anniversary work of the animation studio P.A. Works (True Tears, CANAAN, Angel Beats!). The video introduces nano.RIPE's opening theme song "Hana no Iro," which will go on sale on April 20. The story centers around Ohana Matsumae, a 16-year-old Tokyo native who ended up working at a onsen ryokan (hot spring inn). The new video is only the second one with actual animated footage. The anime itself will premiere on television next spring.

Yahoo! Movies posted a new 34-second Super Bowl television commercial for Scott Stewart's loose live-action adaptation of the Korean manhwa Priest this past weekend. Hyung Min-woo created the original manhwa that Tokyopop released in North America. The trailer features Paul Bettany as the titular priest Ivan Isaacs, Cam Gigandet as Sheriff Hicks, Maggie Q as the Priestess, Lily Collins as Isaacs' kidnapped niece Lucy, and Karl Urban as Black Hat.

After three delays, the movie is now slated for release in 2D and stereoscopic 3D on May 13.
