Hakuōki Hekketsu-roku Gets Original Video Anime Series

The official website of the Hakuōki Hekketsu-roku anime series has announced that a five-volume original video anime (OVA) series will launch early this summer. The series will feature volumes devoted to the characters Toshizō Hijikata, Sōji Okita, Hajime Saitō, Sanosuke Harada, and Heisuke Tōdō, although the volume order has not been decided yet. Aika Yoshioka (Hakuōki Hekketsu-roku television series) will perform the opening theme song, and Maon Kurosaki (Highschool of the Dead, Toaru Majutsu no Index II) will perform the ending theme song.
The first television anime series based on Idea Factory's Hakuōki Shinsengumi Kitan historical romance adventure game for female players aired last year, and the second television series, Hakuōki Hekketsu-roku, premiered in October.
