Japanese Rock Band Flow Gets Animated for Album Bonus

Nana Mizuki guest-stars on DVD for Flow Anime Best CD by Naruto, Code Geass performers

The Japanese rock band Flow is getting animated for the first time for a bonus extra DVD that will be bundled with the March 23 limited first pressing of the band's next album, Flow Anime Best. In addition, Nana Mizuki will be a guest voice actress on the DVD, and the band members also recorded as voice actors.

The album itself is a compilation of the anime tie-in songs that Flow performed for Naruto, Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion, Eureka Seven, Heroman, and Persona -trinity soul-. Besides the bonus DVD, the limited first pressing will also contain a "glittering box," a special book with illustrations from five of the anime whose themes Flow performed, and a separate lyrics booklet with photos of the band members and more illustrations from the anime.

Finally, people who buy the album, the separate single for Flow's cover of the Rurouni Kenshin ending theme song "1/3 no Junjō na Kanjō," and a ticket to the Flow Live Tour 2011 concert series (May 4-15) can enter to win a backstage pass at the tour.
