Japanese Box Office, April 2-3

OOO Den-O All Riders, High School Debut open at #1, #11

OOO, Den-O, All Riders: Let's Go Kamen Riders, the film which celebrates the Toei movie company's 60th anniversary and the Kamen Rider franchise's 40th anniversary with all 28 Kamen Rider heroes and special guests, opened at #1. It earned the equivalent of US$3,626,728 on 273 screens during the April 2-3 weekend. Since it actually opened one day earlier on April 1, it had a three-day cumulative total of US$4,776,803.

Doraemon: Shin Nobita to Tetsujin Heidan - Habatake Tenshi-tachi, Yukiyo Teramoto and Shinei Animation's remake of the 1986 film Doraemon: Nobita to Tetsujin Heidan (Doraemon: Nobita and the Platoon of Iron Men), dropped from #2 to #3 in its fifth weekend on Kogyo Tsushinsha's chart. On Box Office Mojo's chart, it dropped from #3 to #4 and earned the equivalent of US$2,016,503 on 321 screens (12 more than the previous weekend) for a total-to-date of US$23,341,498.

Precure All-Stars DX3 Mirai ni Todoke! Sekai o Tsunagu Niji-Iro no Hana, Takashi Otsuka's third film to combine the casts of all the Pretty Cure (Precure) magical girl television series to date, dropped from #4 to #5 in its third weekend with US$1,358,104 on 152 screens (3 more than the previous weekend) for a gross-to-date of US$8,071,568.

Jump Heroes Film, the double-billing of Toriko 3D: Kaimaku Gourmet Adventure!! and One Piece 3D: Mugiwara Chase, stayed at #8 in its third weekend on Kogyo Tsushinsha's chart. On Box Office Mojo's chart, it dropped from #7 to #8 and added US$877,569 on 140 screens (1 more than the previous weekend) to its total of US$6,566,276.

The live-action film adaptation of the High School Debut manga earned US$595,164 on 137 screens at #11. Since it actually opened on April 1, it had a three-day cumulative total of US$933,591.

Macross Frontier: Sayonara no Tsubasa, the second anime film based on Shōji Kawamori and Satelight's Macross Frontier science-fiction series, fell from #10 to #12 in its sixth weekend. It earned US$274,522 on 37 screens for a gross-to-date of US$6,416,570.

The stereoscopic 3D conversion of Kenji Kamiyama and Production I.G's Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex: Solid State Society movie dropped from #11 to #13. It added US$201,213 on nine screens for a total of US$773,316.

The first film in Shinsuke Satō's live-action adaptation of Hiroya Oku's Gantz action manga fell from #12 to #14 in its 10th weekend. It earned US$193,307 on 261 screens (4 more than the previous weekend) to add to its total of US$39,751,416.

Gekijō-ban Anime Nintama Rantaro Ninjutsu Gakuen Zenin Shutsudō! no Dan, the film based on the ninja comedy television anime Nintama Rantaro, slipped from #14 to #15 in its fourth weekend. It earned US$168,798 on 120 screens (2 more than the previous weekend) for a total of US$1,721,191.
