Manga creator Takako Shimura (Aoi Hana/Sweet Blue Flowers, Hourou Musuko/Wandering Son) is launching a new manga series called Awajima Hyakkei in Ohta Publishing's new online magazine PocoPoco in the near future. The coming-of-age omnibus series will follow the girls at an opera music school; each chapter will center around a different girl. Ohta Publishing indicates on PocoPoco that a "character from Sweet Blue Flowers may also appear" in the new series.

PocoPoco itself launched on Thursday with the first free chapter of Bokura no Hikari Club (Our Light Club), Usamaru Furuya's prequel to his Lychee Light Club (Litchi Hikari Club) horror manga.

PocoPoco will also launch Asumiko Nakamura's one-shot, full-color Aadorute to Aadarute fable about a prince and his imprisoned twin (April 15), Rensuke Oshikiri's Pikopiko Shōnen Turbo spinoff from his Pikopiko Shōnen gamer essay manga in Ohta's Continue magazine (April 18), and Singaporean artist FSc's Clairvoyance story about a boy who can contact a parallel world (April 21).

Later this month, the magazine will have award-winning novelist Yū Nakashima's Fukinshin-chan manga (April 22) and Tetuzoh Okadaya's Hirahira: Kuniyoshi Ichimon Ukiyo-tan period story about an ukiyo artist's pupil (April 25). Nakashima will use ComiPo! software to create his manga.

Fantagraphics Books will launch Shimura's Wandering Son manga in North America in July. Crunchyroll simulcasted the anime adaptations of both Wandering Son and Sweet Blue Flowers. Vertical is publishing Furuya's original Lychee Light Club manga this month, followed by his adaptation of Osamu Dazai's novel No Longer Human this fall. Viz published parts of Furuya's debut manga Palepoli and licensed his Genkaku Picasso manga.
