Akira UK cinema screenings in July

Katsuhiro Ōtomo's classic film returns to the big screen in UK.

Akira, the classic anime SF-action film by Katsuhiro Ōtomo, will be screened in the following cinema venues in July.

Oxford Picturehouse – 2nd July

Aberdeen Picturehouse - 4th July

Exeter Picturehouse – 4th July

York Picturehouse – 4th July

Norwich Picturehouse – 4th July

Stratford East– 7th July

FACT (Liverpool)– 12th July

Ritzy (Brixton) – 18th July

The Folly Project - this is a motorway undercroft in Hackney Wick, created in conjunction with the Barbican's Watch Me Move animation festival. See here for more details. - 22nd July

Akira will also have a week-long screening at the London's Barbican centre as part of the Watch Me Move festival (see story here). It will be provisionally screened on June 17 to June 23, but those dates may move back one week.
