Rainbow's Kakizaki, Yuria 100%'s Hagio Start New Manga

Masasumi Kakizaki's Green Blood western, Nobuto Hagio's Mascara comedy, Kazuyoshi Tomoki's Zeppin! Ramen Musume comedy in Young Mag

This year's 24th issue of Kodansha's Weekly Young Magazine revealed on Monday that manga artist Masasumi Kakizaki (Rainbow - Nisha Rokubō no Shichinin, Kansen Rettō) will launch his Green Blood Western manga in the magazine's 28th issue on June 13. The story is set in the American West when the frontier was still being tamed. Also in the same issue, Kazuyoshi Tomoki will launch a "sexy gag manga" called Zeppin! Ramen Musume.

George Abe and Kakizaki's Rainbow - Nisha Rokubō no Shichinin prison manga was adapted into a television anime series in 2010. Funimation streamed the series on its website. The live-action film adaptation of Kakizaki's Kansen Rettō horror manga hit theaters in 2009.

In the 27th issue of Weekly Young Magazine on June 6, Nobuto Hagio (Yuria Hyaku-shiki, Haruichiban) will begin a new romantic comedy manga titled Mascara about "a Strange Love triangle." Yuria Hyaku-shiki (Yuria 100%) was adapted into a live-action video in 2009.

Kimio Yanagisawa (Aoki Honōo) will launch the Rookie arc of his long-running Tokumei Kakarichō Tadano Hitoshi (Special Mission Section Chief Hitoshi Tadano) salaryman action manga in the 27th issue as well. This manga inspired inspired four live-action television series, a live-action film, and a Tokumei Joshi Ana Namino Yōko (Special Mission Female Announcer Yōko Namino) spinff manga with its own live-action film series.
