La Corda D'Oro's Final Manga Volume to Ship in July

Special 1-shot story of musical romance manga runs in LaLa mag this month
The Japanese publisher Hakusensha will ship the 17th and final book volume in Yuki Kure's La Corda d'Oro shōjo manga on July 5. The manga adapts KOEI's dating simulation game franchise of the same name, and the story is set in an academy where a girl named Kahoko receives a magical violin to compete in the school's elite music program. Before the final book volume ships, the July issue of Hakusensha's LaLa magazine published a one-shot special-edition La Corda d'Oro story on Tuesday.
Viz Media will publish the 14th manga volume in North America in September.
The game franchise also inspired a television anime series in 2006, and a sequel, La Corda D'Oro ~secondo passo~, aired in Spring of 2009.
