The Cinema Today website began streaming a 71-second clip of special footage from the live-action adaptation of Hikaru Nakamura's Arakawa Under the Bridge manga on its YouTube channel online.

In the story, an upper-class young man named Ko "Riku" Ichinomiya (Kento Hayashi) meets a beautiful homeless girl named Nino (Mirei Kiritani) from the banks of Arakawa River, where many of Tokyo's most unusual residents live.

The cast includes Shun Oguri (Hana-Kimi, Hana Yori Dango [2005], Fullmetal Alchemist movie [2005]) as Village Chief, Takayuki Yamada (Gantz, Train Man, Crows Zero) as Hoshi, Nana Katase as Maria, Yu Shirota as Sister, Natsumi Abe as P-ko, Tōru Tezuka as Shiro, Norihisa Hiranuma as Billy, Kurume Arisaka as Jacqueline, Eri Tokunaga as Stella, and Tarō Suruga as the Last Samurai. The live-action television series will premiere in July, while the film will open next February.

NIS America announced that it would release the first of two television anime series based on the manga in North America in July. In addition to Arakawa Under the Bridge, Nakamura also created Saint Young Men.
