Viz Posts Job Listing for Yaoi/BL Editor

The North American anime and manga distributor Viz Media has posted a job position on its website for an "Editor (Yaoi/BL)." The job description notes that a potential candidate must have "knowledge of [the] yaoi/BL genre and market," and the "ability to work on adult-oriented materials [is] A MUST." The position will also help "establish and grow Viz Media's line of mature content titles."

While Viz Media does release adult-oriented titles in its Signature line, to date the company has not published any Yaoi or boys-love titles.

Viz Media has also posted positions for an editor, a digital business manager, and a production artist. The company had laid off up to 60 people in its workforce in May of 2010.

Viz Media has not responded to ANN's request for comment as of press time.
