2 Stations Remove R-15 From Schedules Before Premiere

posted on by Egan Loo
8 still plan to air anime, despite 2 pulling out "due to various circumstances"

The official website of the R-15 television anime series is announcing on Friday that some of the stations have cancelled their planned showings of the anime "due to various circumstances." Specifically, the TVQ Broadcasting Kyushu station in Kyūshū and the BS NTV satellite channel no longer list R-15.

The anime will still premiere on TV Kanagawa on Saturday, and six other over-the-air stations and one satellite channel (AT-X) will still air the anime. The anime's site also notes that the Nico Nico Douga service will stream the anime in Japan. Nico Nico's English site and Crunchyroll will stream the anime outside Japan.

Hiroyuki Fushimi and Takuya Fujima's light novel series centers around Taketo Akutagawa, a student with a secret: he is a talented pornographic novelist with a newspaper-serialized work. He enrolls in a school that only accepts geniuses, and risque trouble ensues there. Munenori Nawa (D.C.S.S. ~Da Capo Second Season~, Kiss×sis, Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu) is directing off scripts supervised by Sumio Uetake (Angel Heart, Burn-Up Scramble, Destiny of the Shrine Maiden) at the studio AIC. R-15♡, the group composed of the main voice actresses, is performing the opening theme song "Maji Yaba Mōsō Love" and the ending theme "Hirameki! Peace (≧▽≦)v."
