posted on by Andrew Osmond
Both series part of Cruchyroll's summer simulcast lineup

The media platform Crunchyroll has added the anime series No. 6 and Twin Angel: Twinkle Paradise to its summer season lineup.

In Atsuko Asano's novels that inspired the anime from animation studio Bones, the story is set in "No. 6," a future model city in 2013. Raised as a top-ranking elite since the age of 2, a boy named Shion (voiced by Yūki Kaji) lives in an exclusive area in No. 6. On the night of his 12th birthday, he rescues a boy who calls himself "Nezumi" (Yoshimasa Hosoya). Nezumi ran away from the city's Special Security Area. From that moment on, Shion's life is changed forever.

Crunchyroll will stream No. 6 on Fridays at 8:00 p.m. EDT in the United States and Canada.

In Twin Angel: Twinkle Paradise, little girls transform into crime fighters with magic powers. The voice cast includes Mamiko Noto (Shinji Kazama in Full Metal Panic!) as Aoi Kannazuki, alias Blue Angel, and Rie Kugimiya (Alphonse in Fullmetal Alchemist) as Kurumi Hazuki, alias White Angel.

Yoshiaki Iwasaki (Love Hina, Hayate the Combat Butler) is directing the project at J.C. Staff. Michiko Itou (Okamisan, Ro-Kyu-Bu!) is supervising the series scripts, and Ryoichi Oki (Iketeru Futari, Potemayo) is overseeing the animation process and designing the characters and props.

Crunchyroll will simulcast the series in on Mondays at 12:45 p.m. EDT in North and South America, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Africa, and the Middle East.

Twin Angel: Twinkle Paradise is also being simulcast by Nico Nico Douga's English site Niconico.com.

Crunchyroll has also listed a spot for a 12th summer title on its lineup page.

Crunchyroll revealed on Thursday that it would simulcast A Dark Rabbit Has Seven Lives, The Mystic Archives of Dantalian, and Sacred Seven. It revealed on Wednesday that it will simulcast Usagi Drop, Cat God and R-15, and the site previously announced at its Anime Expo panel on Saturday that it will simulcast YuruYuri, Kamisama Dolls, and Natsume Yūjin-Chō San. The site will also simulcast 13 other continuing titles.

Update: Background information added.
