posted on by Andrew Osmond
Deadline for early payments is Tuesday.

The third London Anime Con will take place on July 30th and 31st. It offers a masquerade, manga and cosplay workshops, anime screenings, J-culture talks, video gaming, and five live bands. The venue is the Rocket Complex at 166 Holloway Road, near the Holloway Road underground station.

The deadline for early payments is this Tuesday (July 26), registration here. The second London Anime Con, held in February, sold out before the event, except for evening passes.

Early payment prices are £15 for two days, or £8 for one. On-the-door prices (if available) are £10 per day. There are also evening passes for visitors who arrive after 6pm, £4 pre-pay or £5 on the door.

The event begins on both days at 11 a.m. (12 noon for visitors paying at the door) and runs through to 1 a.m. the next morning. A provisional timetable of events is online here. Saturday's schedule includes an afternoon live-band performance by Unshin, set to purpose-made anime by Mai Yoshida; details here.

As the lower level of the Rocket Complex is a licensed bar, the event is restricted to attendees aged 18 and older. (If you register, you need to bring a valid ID to the event - for example, a Passport or Driver's License.)

A London Gaming Con will follow on November 26th and 27th, which will include anime screenings and a cosplay competition. These events are run by AnimeLeague, which also runs the Alcon conventions at De Montfort University in Leicester.

Update - The deadline for early payments is now Tuesday.
