Good Smile, Cospa, Bushiroad Form Joint Marketing Venture

The character figure maker Good Smile Company, the cosplay manufacturer and retailer Cospa, and the card game maker Bushiroad — three major companies in Japan's otaku marketplace — have jointly funded and established a new company called Hitube for marketing and promotion this month. Hitube will specialize in anime, manga, and game content.
By combining their strengths in their core markets and sharing information, the three parent companies aim to develop new opportunities in the content marketplace. Yoshiyuki Matsunaga, the head of Cospa, will also serve as the head of Hitube. Good Smile CEO Takanori Aki and Bushiroad CEO Takaaki Kidani will serve as directors of the new company. Naoki Satō and Kaname Tezuka are joining Hitube as executives.
