Sailor Moon Tops October Graphic Novels in U.S. Bookstores

Naruto 52 stays at #3; Codename: Sailor V 1 drops to #6 after Vampire Knight 13

The first volume of Naoko Takeuchi's Sailor Moon manga stayed at #1 for a second month in a row on Nielsen BookScan's top 20 graphic novels in American bookstores for October. The first volume of Takeuchi's Codename: Sailor V manga dropped from #2 to #6.

Naruto volume 52 stayed at #3 for a second month. The other manga in the top 10 were Vampire Knight volume 13 (#5), Rosario + Vampire Season II volume 6 (#7), and Black Butler volume 7 (#10). Blue Exorcist volume 4 (#11), Yotsuba&! volume 10 (#15), the 26th and penultimate volume of Fullmetal Alchemist (#19), and Bakuman. volume 7 (#20) round out the manga in the top 20.

The BookScan rankings represent sales at Barnes & Noble and other book chains, independent bookshops, and online purchases — but not sales at comic book stores, Walmart, and some other venues.
