The 64th volume of Eiichiro Oda's One Piece pirate manga sold 2,018,366 copies between its first official day of sales (November 4) and November 6, topping Oricon's comic rankings chart for the week of October 31-November 6.

Volume 64 is the 15th consecutive One Piece volume to sell more than two million copies since Oricon began publishing its book sales ranking charts in April of 2008. It is also the fourth volume to sell more than two million copies in its first week. Volume 63 sold 2,119,400 copies in its first four days, volume 61 sold 2,086,080 copies in its first three days, and volume 60 sold 2,094,123 copies in its first four days.

The Japanese publisher Shueisha had produced four million copies of volume 64 in its first printing in Japan. The volume set a record for the most copies in its first printing in Japan.

As of the 64th volume, Shueisha has published over 250 million copies of the manga series; One Piece has had the highest number of copies printed of any Shueisha manga series in Japan.

The manga follows a rubber-bodied boy named Luffy who aims to become the Pirate King by leading a motley crew, including a three-sword-wielding Zoro and the female navigator Nami. The manga has been running in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine since 1997, and the ongoing television anime series premiered in 1999.
