Company to release 12-episode sequel series on subtitled DVD this spring

Sentai Filmworks announced on Wednesday that it has licensed the Motto To Love-Ru -Trouble- television anime series. The company will release the series in a complete collection boxset on subtitled DVD this spring.

The 2010 sequel series, like the original, adapts Saki Hasemi and Kentarō Yabuki's To Love-Ru -Trouble- science-fiction romantic comedy manga.

Atsushi Ootsuki (Kanokon: Manatsu no Daishanikusai, Ladies versus Butlers!) directed the series at studio XEBEC. Yasunori Yamada (Charger Girl Ju-den Chan, Venus Versus Virus) supervised the scripts written by himself, Tomoyasu Okubo (Azumanga Daioh, Charger Girl Ju-den Chan), Tsutoshi Tamai (Ladies versus Butlers!, Strike Witches), and Noboru Kimura (Dan Doh!!, Doki Doki School Hours). Yūichi Oka returned from the previous To Love-Ru television and video series to design the characters and oversee the animation. Jin Aketagawa (Hatsukoi Limited, Toradora!) directed the sound, and Takeshi Watanabe (Moetan, Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu) returned from the previous To Love-Ru television series to compose the music. Aki Toyosaki took over the voice role of peke from Satomi Arai.

Sentai Filmworks previously licensed the first season of the anime in 2009.
