Udon Ent. to Release Captain Commando Manga

posted on by Crystalyn Hodgkins
Company to also start TOXIC artbook anthology series featuring Korean artists

The North American retailers Rightstuf and Amazon are currently listing that Udon Entertainment will release Kotomi Tobashi and Kenkou Tabuchi's Captain Commando manga. Rightstuf lists that the first volume in the series will be released on March 28, and Amazon lists that the first volume will be released on April 10.

Amazon describes the series as follows:

In the year 2026, Metro City is at the mercy of a vicious gang of super-criminals, lead by the villainous Lord Scumocide. Only one fighting force can prevent total catastrophe by standing up to these mutant maniacs - the Commando Team! GINZU - the Ninja Commando! MACK - the Mummy Commando! BABY HEAD - the Baby Commando! And, of course, the man himself, CAPTAIN COMMANDO - the greatest hero of all time!

Both retailers are also listing the first volume in a new Korean art anthology series called TOXIC from Udon Entertainment. (note: cover image on Amazon's site may not be safe for work). According to Amazon, TOXIC will be similar to Udon Entertainment's previous APPLE artbook series. Amazon notes that TOXIC will feature Korean illustrators along with fantasy painters, and the first volume will feature comic stories, pin-up art, paintings, concept work, and artist interviews. The first volume will include art from Kim Tae-Hyung (Planet Blood). Rightstuf lists the release date of the first artbook as February 29, and Amazon lists the release date as March 13.
