Ayatsuji Plans 2 More Novels of Horror Franchise 'Another'

Yukito Ayatsuji, creator of the Another horror mystery franchise, revealed via his Twitter account on Monday that he plans to write a second novel in the Another series as his next work. He tentatively titled the new full-length novel as Another: Episode S.
However, he then clarified on Tuesday that Another: Episode S is not a sequel, but a spinoff. He is planning a tentatively titled Another 2 sequel as a separate work.
The television anime adaptation of Another is currently airing in Japan, and Crunchyroll is streaming the series into several countries. Sentai Filmworks will release the anime digitally "through multiple outlets" and will then release it on DVD and Blu-ray later this year.
The story centers around a school class with a curse that causes in a string of unavoidable deaths that befall the boys and girls in that class. Noizi Ito (Haruhi Suzumiya, Shakugan no Shana) designed the characters in the anime, and Tsutomu Mizushima (Blood-C, xxxHOLiC) is directing the anime at the studio P.A. Works. Ryō Higaki (Moribito - Guardian of the Spirit) is in charge of the scripts, and Yuriko Ishii (Persona -trinity soul-) is adapting Ito's designs for animation. ALI PROJECT and Annabel performed Another's opening and ending theme songs.
