Kachidoki Studio announced on Tuesday that Nukko. — the mascot guide of the SKE48 no Sekai Seifuku Joshi television program — will get its own series of television anime shorts starting on April 2. SKE48 no Sekai Seifuku Joshi is the weekly television variety program starring SKE48, the Nagoya-based spinoff of the AKB48 idol group, and Nukko. has already appeared in earlier animated bumper shorts within the program. The new Nukko. anime will be an "adolescent school story revolving around Nukko. and Nukko.'s slightly(?) oddball friends."

SKE48 no Sekai Seifuku Joshi has been hosting the Gokujyo. Gokurakuin Joshi Kōryō Monogatari series of anime shorts since January, except when airings were cancelled. Maya Miyazaki, the creator of the original Gokujyo manga (and other manga that inspired anime like Holy Knight), designed the Nukko. character. Motoichi Adachi (Sockie's Frontier Quest) developed the Nukko. anime, and Takeshi Onaka (Ganbare!! Nattō-san) is directing.

The DMM.com website has been streaming the entire SKE48 no Sekai Seifuku Joshi program, including its anime shorts, in Japan and elsewhere.
