posted on by Jon Hayward
Adelaide Anime and Video Game convention to be held in Adelaide Convention Centre on the 26th and 27th of July with Special Guests Crispin Freeman and Cassandra Lee.

Crispin Freeman is a long standing voice actor but you might know him as Kyon from The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumaiya, Hideki Motosuwa in Chobits, Holland in Eureka Seven, Togusa in Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex and Alucard from Hellsing among many other roles in both video games and anime. Crispin will be hosting two panels, the first "Giant Robots and Superheroes" examines the differences between east and west storytelling from a mythological and historical perspective and is on at 11:30am in Hall ADE (Main Events Hall). The second panel is Dub Your Own Anime where Crispin will examine good and bad dubs (with examples) and then let the audience step up to the microphone for some on-the-spot dubbing, it starts at 10:30am in Hall ADE (Main Events Hall).

Cassandra Lee is an accomplished voice actor and writer. She has a relatively recent list of credits including Kyubey in Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Ritsu Tainaka in K-ON!, Saki Mikajima in Durarara!! and Totooria Helmold in the PS3 video game, Atelier Totori: The Adventurer of Arland. The Cassandra Lee panel is on at 1:30pm on Saturday in Hall C (Panel Theatre) and 1pm on the Sunday in Hall ADE (Main Events Hall).

Photos and Signings will be taking place in Foyer F through Saturday and Sunday at various times, check the timetable to be sure.

If you are looking for more information on AVCon you can find ticket prices, convention map, timetable and some of the panels and even the best ways to travel to the venue.

And finally you can visit AVCon's website or facebook page for further information.

ANN|AU will be in attendance, walking around the convention but not running any panels this year. We will however be posting any title announcements and other interesting points to twitter over the weekend.
