Studio DEEN & 2nd TV anime's staff return for story with 2nd Nura Clan head

The Summer issue of Shueisha's Shonen Jump Next! magazine is announcing on Saturday that the Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan anime is returning in a brand-new original anime DVD on December 4. The limited edition of Hiroshi Shiibashi's 24th Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan manga volume will bundle the new anime DVD.

Director Michio Fukuda (Hyakko), screenwriter Hideaki Koyasu (Akikan!), and Mariko Oka (Hell Girl) are all returning from the second Nura television anime, Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan: Demon Capital, for the DVD. Studio DEEN is producing the animation.

The anime DVD will feature Rihan, the second head of the Nura Clan and Rikuo's father.

Shiibashi is launching his three-chapter Aoi Rasen-Jō Saishū Kessen (Aoi Spiral Castle's Final Battle) story arc of the manga in Shonen Jump Next! on Saturday. Viz published the 10th volume of the manga's original Weekly Shonen Jump run in North America; Hisashi Sasaki, deputy director of Shueisha's Shonen Manga Group and a former Weekly Shonen Jump Editor-in-Chief, said that "we will make sure" that the Shonen Jump Next! sequel run will be available in English as well.

Viz Media also streamed the two television anime series with English subtitles in North America.
