Hunter X Hunter: Phantom Rouge's Theatrical Teaser Posted

The official website for the Gekijō-ban Hunter × Hunter: Phantom Rouge film began streaming the first theatrical teaser trailer on Sunday. (In the linked page, select the "特報" spider on the righthand side. The previous teaser trailer only aired on television.) The film will center around the character Kurapika, who became a hunter to seek revenge on the Phantom Troupe for the massacre of his clan.
The film's staff have noted that the film will be a "dramatic action" film with an completely original story. The Phantom Troupe will make an appearance in the film, and the "rouge" in the title refers to the red eyes of the Kurta clan that Kurapika hails from. The first main visual for the film and the new trailer depict a spider with the number "4" in Kurapika's red eye.
The film, the first in the Hunter x Hunter franchise, will open in theaters in Japan on January 12, 2013. Yoshihiro Togashi's original manga has over 60 million copies in circulation, and it already inspired two television series.
