Crunchyroll to Stream Ixion Saga DT Fantasy Anime (Updated)

Anime of CAPCOM online action PC game premieres in Japan next Sunday

The media distribution service Crunchyroll announced on Sunday that it will stream the Ixion Saga DT (Dimension Transfer) television anime series. The company has not announced further details on starting dates or regional availability.

The anime adapts CAPCOM's Ixion Saga online fantasy action PC game. The game and anime follow Kon Hokaze, a boy who embarks on a journey from our world to an alternate world known as Mira, which is full of a mysterious energy known as Alma. After saving Princess Ecarlate from attackers, he soon finds himself in the middle of a struggle over Alma.

Shinji Takamatsu (Gintama) is directing the anime at Brains Base. Akatsuki Yamatoya (Gintama, Heroman) is in charge of scripts, and Shinji Takeuchi (Gintama) is the character designer and lead animation director for the series. Junpei Fujita and Hitoshi Fujima from Elements Garden (Bodacious Space Pirates) are working on the title's music, and the band Golden Bomber is collaborating on its theme song.

The anime will premiere in Japan next Sunday.

Update: Crunchyroll has announced more details regarding the simulcast. The site will stream the series on Sundays starting on October 7 at 1:00 p.m. EDT. The stream will be available for premium members worldwide outside of Japan. General members will have access in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Denmark, Finland, the Netherlands, Norway, and Sweden.
