English Niconico.com to Retire, Re-Open Under Main Site on October 17

English-language streaming site opened last April
The video-streaming service Niconico announced on Monday that it will retire its current English website, Niconico.com, by the end of 2012. The service will replace it with an English version under its Japanese domain name on October 17.
Users on Niconico.com will be unable to create new clubs after October 9 due to the transfer. All user translation data added until the October 9 will be moved to nicovideo.jp but comments, tags, and my faves will not.
The website launched the beta for Niconico.com last year and later announced plans to stream Funimation titles as part of their joint Funico venture. The site streamed Black★Rock Shooter, Symphogear, Detective Opera Milky Holmes 2, Blood-C, The Mystic Archives of Dantalian, and others.
