posted on by Egan Loo
Story of 12-year-old's uneasy life changes in middle school to start in November

The November issue of Kodansha's Bessatsu Friend (Betsufure) magazine announced on Saturday that manga creator Miwa Ueda will launch her Aruite Ikō (Let's Go for a Walk) series in the next issue on November 13. The story follows a 12-year-old who enters middle school and deals with the uneasiness of her changing life. The manga will begin with a 51-page chapter with the first page in color.

Ueda just serialized her Rokomoko manga in the same magazine from December 2011 to July 2012.

Tokyopop published Ueda's Peach Girl manga in North America, while Funimation released the anime adaptation. Del Rey published six of the Japanese volumes from Ueda's Papillon - Hana to Chō manga. Bessatsu Friend serialized both of these manga and more recently, her Pure-Mari series.
