Asahi Pro Animates Heroes ~Legend of Battle Disks~ Show

3-minute dubbed pilot, English site launched for boys' series debuting this year

The anime studio Asahi Production has launched an official English-language website for its Heroes ~Legend of Battle Disks~ project in collaboration with Spain's Magic Box Int. Toys. The 26-episode animated series is based on Magic Box's line of toys targeted at boys 5-12. It is expected to air in more than 28 countries starting in the winter of 2013.

The website describes the story of the action adventure series:

The story is set in the galaxy located near the center of the universe.

There are Planet Aernia (a planet for Heroes) and Planet Orbs (a planet for robots), governed by Orbiton, in this same galaxy.

Various countries are present in Planet Aernia; they are, Volculm (volcanic country of fire), Zylan (oceanic country of water), Elvan (green-rich country of forest), and Aleum (celestial country of clouds).

Antania, is a nucleus of all the present countries. It has an academy that fosters Heroes.

Under the reign of the Governor General, Antania upholds a national policy to train Heroes to prevent Planet Aernia to be infringed by the Dark Desire.

Heroes are not only the reliable source of battle who have special abilities to freely use the battle discs, but also a symbol of unfailing justice.

The animation's website is currently streaming a three-minute English-dubbed pilot movie for the television series, and the official website for the toy line is streaming a separate 20-second commercial from 2011. The franchise will be exhibited at the Hong Kong Toys & Games Fair this week, and then at the Spielwarenmesse International Toy Fair Nürnberg 2013 (January 30–February 4).

Asahi Production previously produced the Super Robot Wars OG: The Inspector, Alice in the Country of Hearts: Wonderful Wonder World, and Blue Drop anime.
