New re-recording of DNA²'s opening theme to ship this spring

The rock band Sharan Q announced at a press conference at Shibuya's eggman hall on Tuesday that it the band will reunite for the first time in seven years to host a live tour this summer. The band is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. The four-member band will also release a brand new recording of the DNA² ending theme song "Single Bed" this spring. The band performed the newly redone song live during Tuesday's event.

Sharan Q formed in 1988 and made its major debut in 1992. The band went on hiatus in 2000, and each member then started a solo career. The band then resumed activities in 2006 before going on hiatus again. Vocalist Tsunku♂ has been dealing with a condition affecting his vocal chords for around 6-7 years, and the condition has also affected his solo work and his work with Sharan Q. However, after the 2011 earthquake and tsunami disaster, the band began meeting to discuss its possible return. Tsunku♂ will continue his medical treatment for his vocal chords during the band's tour.

Sharan Q also performed the opening theme songs for the Orphen television anime series.
