Ghibli-animated game tops the 'All Formats' game chart.

The Level-5/Studio Ghibli PS3 game Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch has topped the 'All Formats' game chart, according to the Eurogamer site. The game was released by Namco Bandai UK on Friday.

The game beat FIFA 13 (second place) and Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 (third place). Eurogamer adds that the game sold out in many shops. According to the Videogamer site, it has sold out at Amazon, GAME, Zavvi, Play.com and ShopTo.net.

However, Namco Bandai UK's Marketing & PR Director Lee Kirton is quoted on both sites as saying Namco Bandai is providing more stock this week, and that customers should check with their retailers.

The PS3 game was developed by Level-5 and features animation by Studio Ghibli. The story involves a young boy who crosses over into another world on a quest to find his mother. It features both an English audio track and the original Japanese voice track, as well as music by Joe Hisaishi, who also composes the music for Hayao Miyazaki's Ghibli films.

Namco Bandai Games began streaming an English-dubbed trailer for Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch in April 2012:
