Hunter X Hunter Anime to Air Chimera Ant Arc

This year's 13th issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine is reporting on Monday that the Hunter x Hunter anime will continue past the Greed Island arc into the Chimera Ant arc, starting April 21. The magazine also revealed the complete anime design for the first anime appearance of Gin Freecss' apprentice Kite, as well as the rough designs for the Queen, Meleoron, the thousand-fisted ant, Yunju, and the mosquito-type ant.
The previous Shonen Jump issue had teased a 'shocking announcement' for the Hunter x Hunter television anime. Production of a second film was already confirmed in a special teaser trailer after the ending credits of the first film, Hunter × Hunter: Phantom Rouge, released last month. The trailer was focused on Netero, the chairperson of the Hunters Association, in front of a backdrop of a dimly lit street with a tall tower similar to the Heavens Arena.
