Henneko - "Hentai" Prince and the Stony Cat Anime's New TV Ad Aired

posted on by Egan Loo
Anime of Sou Sagara's light novels to premiere this month

The BS11 channel ran a commercial for HENNEKO (The "Hentai" Prince and the Stony Cat. or Hentai Ōji to Warawanai Neko.) television anime. The commercials feature Yūki Kaji as protagonist Yōta Yokodera and Yui Ogura as Tsukiko Tsutsukakushi.

Sou Sagara's original light novels center around a second-year high school boy named Yōto Yokodera who is always thinking about his "carnal desires." He learns about a cat statue that supposedly grants wishes. The boy goes to pray that he will be able to express his lustful thoughts whenever and wherever he wants. At the statue, Yōto encounters Tsukiko Tsutsukakushi, a seemingly expressionless girl from his high school with her own wish.

Youhei Suzuki (episode director on Karin, Kimikiss pure rouge, Nodame Cantabile: Finale) is making his debut as the director of a full series at J.C. Staff. Haruko Iizuka (Little Busters!, Inu X Boku Secret Service, Tamayura) is adapting Kantoku's original character illustrations from the light novel series for the anime. Michiko Itou (Ōkami-san & Her Seven Companions, Ro-Kyu-Bu!, Twin Angel: Twinkle Paradise) is in charge of the series scripts. The show will also co-star Kaori Ishihara as Azusa Azuki and Yukari Tamura as The King of Steel.

Digital Manga published the first volume of Okomeken's manga adaptation in North America in November.

The television anime series will premiere on Tokyo MX on April 13 at 10:30 p.m. It will then run on BS11 the day after.

Update: It is April in Japan, but still March in the United States. Thanks, Raoh.
