Soul Eater Manga Depicts 'Final Battle,' But Flowers of Evil Is Not at 'Last Chapter Yet'

Atsushi Ohkubo's Soul Eater manga is depicting the "final battle" in the June issue of Square Enix's Shonen Gangan magazine on Saturday. The preview for the issue does not indicate if or when the manga is ending.
The Soul Eater manga launched in 2004 and Yen Press publishes the series in North America. The 14th volume is slated for release in North America this month. Yen Press also publishes Ohkubo's spin-off manga Soul Eater Not! which launched in 2011.
In a separate development, Shūzō Oshimi wrote in the author's comments section in the June issue of Kodansha's Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine that this current The Flowers of Evil manga chapter "is not the last chapter yet!" Fellow manga creator Makoto Raiku wrote on Wednesday that the manga feels like it is coming to a climax, but he will nevertheless accept Oshimi's word.
Vertical publishes the original manga in North America, and Crunchyroll is streaming the ongoing anime adaptation.
