3x3 Eyes' Takada Ends Aviation Manga Captain Alice

Manga creator Yuzo Takada (3x3 Eyes, Blue Seed, Cat Girl Nuku Nuku) ended his Captain Alice manga in this year's 11th issue of Kodansha's Evening magazine on Wednesday. The message at the end of the manga's final chapter says that the author is now preparing his next work. Takada began serializing Captain Alice in 2009.
The title character is Arisu Tanigawa, an aircraft pilot who gained extraordinary flying skills under the expert tutelage of her father when she was young — but who also has some issues. Arisu's life changes when she has a chance encounter with a mysterious boy on the same airplane she is piloting.
Dark Horse Comics published 3x3 Eyes in North America, while ADV Manga had licensed the Cat Girl Nuku Nuku manga. Various North American companies have released many of the anime adaptations of Takada's works, including 3x3 Eyes, Blue Seed, and Nuku Nuku.
