Campaign to raise US$18,000 for 2010 film version with new scenes, new ending

Pied Piper, DIRECTIONS, and Studio Rikka launched a Kickstarter campaign for an international Blu-ray Disc release of Yasuhiro Yoshiura's Time of Eve film. The 2010 film took the original six-episode net anime series and added new scenes, a new ending, and a theme song by Kalafina.

The Kickstarter campaign is attempting to raise US$18,000 by June 22. The release would include Time of Eve: The Movie with English subtitles, bonus video features such as interviews with the main cast and Yoshiura, a 40-page art book, and eight postcards for those who purchase the film through the Kickstarter campaign.

The 10 who pledged US$150 or more could receive an original drawing of Nagi by character designer Ryuusuke Chayama, the five who pledged US$200 could pick their favorite character for Chayama to draw, and the first one who pledged US$500 or more could receive the last original set of scripts from the film signed by director Yoshiura.

The movie version of the anime is available digitally on the iTunes Store in the United States, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.

Crunchyroll has been streaming the original Time of Eve net anime series, and the English-subtitled Japanese Blu-ray Disc of the series was offered to U.S. and European audiences.

Update: The campaign just met its main goal of US$18,000 shortly after midnight on Saturday, less than 24 hours after starting.
