The June 20 issue of Enterbrain's Famitsu magazine, which shipped on Thursday in Japan, revealed that 5pb.'s video game adaptation of Wataru Watari's Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Come wa Machigatteiru. light novel series will be available in Japan both physically and digitally on September 19 for 7,140 yen (about US$72). The adventure game will be titled Yahari Game demo Ore no Seishun Love Come wa Machigatteiru. (Even Though It's a Game My Youth Romantic Comedy is Wrong as I Expected).

The limited-edition of the game will bundle a bonus anime episode on Blu-ray Disc. Watari himself is writing the scripts for the anime. The game and bonus anime will both will depict stories that were not in the original light novel series. The limited edition will ship for 9,975 yen (US$100).

Watari is supervising the game's scenario, and original character designer Ponkan8 is also handling the character design for the game. The player will play as Hachiman, and the game will feature a "corruption counter" that will change based on the speech and actions of the player. Hachiman will face both "action" choices (as indicated by rectangular answer boxes) and "thought" choices (as indicated by cloud-shaped answer boxes), and his fate will change depending on the responses.

Takuya Eguchi, Saori Hayami, and Nao Tōyama will reprise their roles from the anime as Hachiman, Yukino, and Yui, respectively for the game.

Famitsu is currently hosting a few screenshots from the game.

Watari's romantic comedy revolves around an antisocial high school student named Hachiman Hikigaya with a distorted view on life and no friends or girlfriend. When he see his classmates talking excitedly about living their adolescent lives, he mutters, "They're a bunch of liars." When he is asked about his future dreams, he responds, "Not working." A teacher gets Hachiman to join the volunteer "service club," which happens to have the school's prettiest girl, Yukino Yukinoshita. Crunchyroll is streaming the anime series outside of Japan as it airs under the name My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU, and Sentai Filmworks licensed the anime for North America.
