1st home video release to ship in Japan on September 20, CDs to ship on July 17

The official website for the upcoming summer anime Fantasista Doll began streaming two new television commercials on Tuesday. The first commercial advertises the show's Blu-ray and DVD releases, and the second commercial advertises the opening theme "Ima yo! Fantasista Doll" and the ending theme "Day by Day," both of which are performed by the core cast. Both CDs will ship on July 17.

The first pressing limited edition release of the first volume will include a box to hold the first three volumes featuring an illustration by character designer Hiromi Kato, an event ticket, a social game special serial code, and a special character card. The regular edition will include a digipak and clear case designed by original character designer Anmi, and a CD with the opening theme song, an audio drama with the main cast, and a soundtrack. The first volume will ship on September 20.

Hisashi Saito is directing the anime at the studio Hoods Entertainment from Goro Taniguchi's original concept. Hiromi Kato is adapting Anmi's original character designs for the anime and is also serving as chief animation director, and Yasuharu Takanashi is providing the music.

In this science-fiction story, Uzume Uno (played by Ayaka Ōhashi) is an ordinary second-year middle school student who comes into possession of five "dolls" who fight and power up with special cards. The cast for the dollls include Minami Tsuda as Sasara, Sora Tokui as Katia, Chinatsu Akasaki as Shimeji, Akiko Hasegawa as Akari, and Sayaka Ōhara as Madeleine.

The anime will premiere on Japanese television on July 7, and Crunchyroll will simulcast the series in several regions.
