Funimation Reveals Wolf Children, Blood-C Films' Dub Casts

North American anime distributor Funimation announced on Thursday its dub casts for both the Wolf Children and Blood-C: The Last Dark films.
The Wolf Children cast is as follows:
Hana - Colleen Clinkenbeard
Ame (child) - Alison Viktorin
Ame - Micah Solusod
Yuki (child) - Lara Woodhull
Yuki - Jad Saxton
Ookami (the father) - David Matranga
Grandpa Nirasaki - Jerry Russell
Souhei - Jason Liebrecht
As previously announced, Mike McFarland will direct the dub. The dub is set to premiere at Otakon next month.
Wolf Children's story covers 13 years and begins with a 19-year-old college student named Hana who encounters and falls in "fairy tale-like" love with a "wolf man." After marrying the wolf man, Hana gives birth and raises two wolf children — an older sister named Yuki ("snow") who was born on a snowy day, and a younger brother named Ame ("rain") who was born on a rainy day. When the wolf man suddenly dies, Hana decides to move to a rural town far removed from the city. Funimation plans to release the film this year in theaters and on home video.
The film won the Animation of the Year award at this year's Tokyo Anime Awards, won the animation category in the 26th Annual Japan Academy Prizes in March, and won the Animation Film Award at the 67th Annual Mainichi Film Awards in February. Additionally, the film won an Audience Award at this year's New York International Children's Film Festival.

Manga creator team CLAMP developed the story and original character designs for both the Blood-C television series and the film. Production I.G animated both projects. Funimation streamed the television series as it aired in 2011 on the Nico Nico website, and has also licensed the show for home video. The sequel film, Blood-C: The Last Dark, opened in Japan in June 2012. The film won the Jury Award at last year's Fantasia International Film Festival.
