Koji Suzuki's Edge Wins Shirley Jackson Book Award

Project Toh's "The Indifference Engine" short story also nominated
Koji Suzuki's Edge novel won a Shirley Jackson Award in the Novel category. The Ring writer penned Edge in 2008 and Vertical released the novel in English last year.
The story follows humanity after a catastrophic earthquake in California. The disaster reveals that Earth is falling apart due to a kink on the quantum level, somehow related to the Feynman point.
The Shirley Jackson Awards acknowledge writings focusing on psychological suspense, horror, and the dark fantastic themes. The award winners were announced last week at Readercon 24 in Burlington, Massachusetts with host Maureen McHugh.
Project Toh's "The Indifference Engine" short story was nominated in the Novella category but lost to “Sky,” by Kaaron Warren.
