Kill Me Baby CD to Bundle New Half-Hour Bonus Anime

posted on by Egan Loo
Bonus to adapt 8 previously unanimated episodes from manga; Blu-ray box coming in winter

The official Twitter account for the Kill Me Baby (Baby, Please Kill Me!) anime announced on Saturday that the franchise's best album CD Kill Me Baby Super will ship on October 16 with a new bonus anime. The bonus anime will run about 27 minutes long, and it will adapt eight previously unanimated story episodes from Kaduho's original manga. The CD/DVD bundle will cost 3,939 yen (about US$41).

In addition, a Kill Me Baby Blu-ray Box will go on sale this winter. More details will be on the anime's official website, and the promotional video announcing the new anime is debuting at the TBS Anime Festa event on Saturday.

The cast for the earlier television anime included Mutsumi Tamura as Sonya, the assassin girl who happens to attend an ordinary school; Ai Takabe as Agiri Goshiki, a ninja in Sonya's organization; and Chinatsu Akasaki as Yasuna Oribe, a fearless yet not-so-smart girl and a self-described "friend" of Sonya.

Yoshiki Yamakawa (Hatsukoi Limited) directed the television anime at J.C. Staff (A Certain Magical Index, Tantei Opera Milky Holmes), and Hideki Shirane of Dream Eater Merry and Aria the Scarlet Ammo was in charge of the scripts. Shinya Hasegawa (Ikki Tousen, Otome Yōkai Zakuro) handled the character designs.

The 13-episode television anime premiered in Japan in January 2012, and Sentai Filmworks licensed it for North America.
