Comic Market 84 Sets Record With 590,000 Across 3 Days

The Comic Market 84 event reported an attendance of 590,000 over the course of three days this past weekend. The total tops the record of 560,000 held since Summer of 2009 (Comiket 76).
The event reported a record 210,000 attendees on the first day, 210,000 again on the second day, and 170,000 on the third day. Comiket does not have unique passes for visitors, so a person who attends all three days would be counted three times.
Last winter's Comic Market 83 had 550,000 people over all three days, setting a new record for Winter Comiket attendance.
