3rd This Boy/Kono Danshi Project Launches as a Drama CD

Soubi Yamamoto returns with Kono Danshi, Akunin to Yobaremasu./This Boy Is Called a Bad Man

The official website for animator Soubi Yamamoto's independent Kono Danshi (This Boy) projects opened a page for the third title, Kono Danshi, Akunin to Yobaremasu. (This Boy Is Called a Bad Man.) Unlike the previous two works, Kono Danshi, Akunin to Yobaremasu. will launch as a drama CD.

The story revolves around an "extremely ordinary" 17-year-old high school girl named Akane Shinonome (voiced by Miku Itō). Akane ends up working part-time in a jack-of-all-trades service called H&H Co. through some unusual circumstances.

There, she meets four "overly individual" young men:

Ryōhei Kimura as the 28-year-old "ikemen [super handsome] feminist" Seven. His true nature is seemingly inscrutable to everyone but the President of the company.

Takahiro Mizushima as the 15-year-old prodigy K who is brilliant at computers, politics, economics, arts, sports, and just about everything else — except for fashion. (He wears the same sloppy clothes every day.)

Takashi Kondō as the 23-year-old likable, self-proclaimed hero Justice

Toshiyuki Morikawa as the 35-year-old President of H&H Co.

Nobuhiko Okamoto as Yukihito Sera, the 23-year-old rookie detective keeping tabs on H&H Co. on orders from his superiors.

Yamamoto is directing the project, and Ayumu Hisao (Kill Me Baby) is writing the script. The CD will go on sale on November 27, and the Animate store chain will bundle a variant jacket cover.

As a 21-year-old, Yamamoto made her scriptwriting and directorial debut in 2011 with the first 28-minute Kono Danshi anime, Kono Danshi, Uchū-jin to Tatakaemasu. (This Boy Can Fight Aliens!). Her followup, Kono Danshi, Ningyo Hiroimashita. (This Boy Caught a Merman), arrived last year. Sentai Filmworks licensed both for North America, and it just shipped This Boy Caught a Merman on Tuesday.

Yamamoto is now directing Meganebu! (literally, "Eyeglasses Club"), next month's television anime series about spectacle-wearing high school boys.
