Tokyo Shock to Offer Eko Eko Azarak: The First Episode of Misa Kuroi

One of several live-action films inspired by Shinichi Koga's horror manga

Media Blaster's Tokyo Shock label plans to release the live-action film Eko Eko Azarak: The First Episode of Misa Kuroi on December 3. Tokyo Shock previously released Eko Eko Azarak 1 - Wizard of Darkness, Eko Eko Azarak 2 - Birth of The Wizard, and Eko Eko Azarak 3 - Misa the Dark Angel on DVD.

The live-action film series is based on Shinichi Koga's 1970s horror manga, which also inspired a two-episode original anime video in 2007. Eko Eko Azarak: The First Episode of Misa Kuroi follows Misa (Nozomi Maeda), a girl in a school where students fall prey to black magic. Misa attempts to help them by battling the dark forces with her own magic. The live-action film was directed by Koga himself.
