posted on by Egan Loo
October anime about demon lord heiress who is forced to work part-time

The official website for the anime adaptation of Jun Sakyō's Yūsha ni Narenakatta Ore wa Shibushibu Shūshoku o Ketsui Shimashita. (Yu-sibu) light novels began streaming a promotional video for the anime on Sunday. Azusa Tadokoro and Keisuke Kōmoto narrate the video as their characters Fino Bloodstone and Raul Chaser, and the video previews the opening theme song "Extra Revolution" by ZAQ.

In the story, a boy named Raul did not get a chance to become a Hero, since the demon lord was already defeated just before his Hero exams. His dreams dashed, Rauru spends his days working at a Magic Shop in the capital. One day, a part-time job seeker appears at the shop with an amazing résumé:

Name: Fino
Previous Occupation: Demon Lord Heir
Motive: Because my father was defeated

The work comedy revolves around this former Hero-in-training and the daughter of the demon lord.

The video introduces most of the other main cast members:

Maina Shimagata as Seara August, the manager of the Magic Shop store branch at the capital Leon

Madoka Sowa as Nova Luminous, a part-time worker at the shop

Kumi Takaragi as Lore Beliferal, the store's engineer

Natsumi Yamada as Lamdimia Do Aximemor, a worker at the store

Emi Nitta as Elza Crucial, a worker at the store

Kanae Iwasaki as Airi Altinate, Raul's former rival when they were aspiring Heroes

Not introduced in the video is Yoshihisa Kawahara as Viser Crossroad, the assistant manager of the shop

The staff of the television anime was announced in May. Kinji Yoshimoto (Genshiken 2, Queen's Blade 2: The Evil Eye) is directing the anime at studio asread (The Future Diary, Shuffle!). Tetsuya Takeuchi (Yomigaeru Sora - RESCUE WINGS -) is adapting Masaki Inuzumi's novel illustrations for the animation character designs, and Masashi Suzuki (Kanokon: The Girl Who Cried Fox, Shuffle!, Oda Nobuna no Yabō) is in charge of the series scripts.

The anime will premiere on Japanese television on October 4. ZAQ's "Extra Revolution" single will go on sale on October 23, while the single for Sphere's ending theme song "Sticking Places" will ship on November 27. The first of the anime's six monthly Blu-ray/DVD volumes will then arrive on December 27.
