Manga about superpowered beings to begin in Young Jump in November

This year's 44th issue of Shueisha's Young Jump magazine is announcing on Thursday that a mixed-media project titled Hamatora is launching. The "mystery x battle entertainment" project will begin with a manga by writer Yukinori Kitajima (428 ~Fūsa Sareta Shibuya de~, Senran Kagura, Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney) and artist Yūki Kodama (Blood Lad) in the 51st issue of Young Jump in November. A television anime, video game, "and more" will then follow.

The cast for the television anime will include Ryota Ohsaka (Blood Lad) as Nice, Wataru Hatano (The Unlimited - Hyōbu Kyōsuke) as Murasaki, Emiri Katō (Pretty Rhythm Rainbow Live) as Hajime, Hiroshi Kamiya (Sayonara Zetsubō Sensei) as Art, and Kiyono Yasuno (The Severing Crime Edge) as Koneko. The text on the visual reads, "The victims in the incident are all 'minimum holders' (superpowered beings)."

Kodama and Natsu Matsumai created the original story concepts for the anime version, and Cafe Nowhere drafted the original story. Kitajima is credited with the project composition, and Touko Machida (The IDOLM@STER) is in charge of the series scripts with writer Jun Kumagai (Persona 4).

Kodama also drafted the original character designs, and Yū Wazu is adapting Kodama's designs at animation studio NAZ (Take Your Way). Fantasista Utamaro is in charge of color art direction. Makoto Yoshimori (Durarara!!) will be scoring the music, and DIVE II Entertainment will be producing the music.
