Watamote Comedy Anime's English-Narrated Promo Streamed

Nico Tanigawa's story of unpopular high school girl heads to home video in 2014

The Anime Network began streaming an English-narrated promotional video for the WATAMOTE ~ No Matter How I Look at It, It’s You Guys' Fault I’m Not Popular! (Watashi ga Motenai no wa Dou Kangaete mo Omaera ga Warui!) anime on Friday.

The slice-of-life gag comedy centers around Tomoko Kuroki, a girl who thought she would be popular when she went to high school. However, she was in for a rude awakening, for cruel reality is not like the otome games (romance games for female players) she played.

Yen Press is publishing the creative team Nico Tanigawa's original manga in North America. The television anime adaptation of the manga premiered on July 8 on the TV Tokyo. Crunchyroll and The Anime Network are streaming the anime with English subtitles, and Sentai Filmworks licensed the anime for a North American home video release next year.
