Sega's crossover 2D fighting game to have Mikoto, Tōma with Kirino, Kuroneko for support

The Dengeki Bunko Fighting Climax 2D crossover fighting game will feature Mikoto Misaka from Kazuma Kamachi's A Certain Magical Index light novel series and Kirino Kōsaka from Tsukasa Fushimi's Oreimo light novel series as playable characters. The arcade game will also include A Certain Magical Index's Tōma Kamijō and Oreimo's Kuroneko as support characters.

The characters will appear with previously revealed characters at the demo stations at the “Dengeki Bunko Autumn Festival 2013” event at the Akihabara UDX & Belle Salle in Tokyo on Sunday. The Dengeki Online website also posted several more screenshots that highlight the game's battle system.

Asuna from Reki Kawahara's Sword Art Online light novel series and Shana from Yashichiro Takahashi's Shakugan no Shana light novel series were already announced as playable characters with Shakugan no Shana's Wilhelmina and Sword Art Online's Leafa as support characters.

The game will use a standard eight-way joystick and four buttons — A (weak attack), B (medium attack), C (strong attack), and D (support, to summon support characters). Players can also dash, back dash, and two levels of jump. A+B or A + B + down will unleash special Impact Skill attacks. Pressing A + B+ C simultaneously will expend one BLAST icon for various BLAST attacks.

The side-scrolling action game is the fourth collaboration between publisher ASCII Media Works' Dengeki Bunko imprint and Sega, and it marks Dengeki Bunko's 20th anniversary.
