Perfect Blue Combi Pack Delayed to November 25

Further delay to combi edition of psycho-thriller.

The facebook page of Anime Limited has confirmed that the Blu-ray/DVD combi edition of Satoshi Kon's psycho-thriller Perfect Blue has been delayed again, to November 25. (This follows earlier delays, to October 28 and November 18.)

Perfect Blue news: As some of you may have noticed (or received notification from Amazon), Perfect Blue has been delayed once again until the 25th of November.

This is was a decision made by the distributor based on a manufacturing delay on the box. It was totally out of our hands and we were recently informed of it ourselves. We understand the ongoing and increasing frustration with all these delays and we're feeling it too. All we can do is offer our sincere apologies and hope that when you do receive your copy, you enjoy it in all it's remastered glory.

These delays only affect the combi pack; the standalone DVD edition of Perfect Blue is already available.

The feature film was the director debut for Kon, who went on to make Millennium Actress, Tokyo Godfathers, Paranoia Agent and Paprika before his death in 2010. Set in contemporary Tokyo, the story concerns a pop singer, Mima, who tries to develop an acting career, only to experience threats and traumas as her mind breaks down and she is tormented by a ghostly version of her singer self. The film was previously released on VHS and DVD by Manga Entertainment.
