Chiyomaru Shikura (Steins;Gate, Chaos;HEAd) is acting as general producer, and Yuusuke Kozaki (Fire Emblem: Awakening, No More Heroes) is designing the characters. Geto Koyamashi (No More Heroes) is supervising and creating mechanical designs. Marina is performing the opening theme song "Kimi wa Mō, Hitori Janai" (You're Not Alone Anymore), and HIMEKA is contributing the ending theme song "Tsu-Ba-Sa."

The game is slated to ship for the PlayStation 3 in Japan on December 5. The limited edition with original drama CD and soundtrack will cost 9,240 yen (about US$93). The regular version will cost 7,140 yen (US$72) and the download version will cost 6,300 yen (US$63).

The Liberation Maiden shooter game received a worldwide release for iOS devices in March. The game was originally released for the Nintendo 3DS as part of the Guild01 game compilation with animation by Studio BONES.
